B.C.A. (Bachelor of Computer Applications)was started in 1999. The department shows a metamorphosis in its growth in a short span of time. The department has a team of well qualified and experienced faculty. The department has 16 Ph.D. holders,2 Guideship, 8 NET, 4 SET qualified staff members and 21staff members with M.Phil. degree in Computer Science. The objective of the department is to produce world class computer professionals in this fast emerging and changing field of Computer Applications. Many of the Students are placed in reputed Companies like MICROSOFT, IBM, WIPRO, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, CTS, TCS, DELLOITE, IDBI Federal Life Insurance, Aspire Systems, Mpower youthful India, AGS, etc. The department prepares its students to meet the increasing global challenges. The department through Smart India Hackathon (SIH) and Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) initiates a platform to solve the prevailing pressing issues in daily lives, providing an opportunity to work on challenges faced and inculcate a mindset of problem solving, sparking creativity and innovation thereby improving the quality of life.
The mission of the department is to train the students to develop inquisitive minds for the true understanding of real-life problems and to build optimal computer solutions for the benefit of the society. Regular activities are arranged and encouraged in the department for indigenous product development, skills enhancement and interdisciplinary interactions. The department boasts of intelligent alumni, who are placed in reputed international firms like IBM, WIPRO, INFOSYS, TCS, DELLOITE, Citi Bank etc.
