A picture is worth a thousand words – Communication and knowledge dissemination through visuals is impactful than any other medium of communication. The department of Visual Communication was successfully launched in the academic year 2020-21 though the world is facing pandemic. The department aims to provide world class education in visual communication by giving importance to skill development oriented approach to the curriculum and pedagogy. The focus of the department is to develop young talents as creative professionals and good citizens for the nation.
The department offers an undergraduate programme B.Voc Visual Communication which is sponsored by the UGC and the curriculum is aligned with Media and Entertainment Skill Council. The programme includes specialisation such as Drawing, Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, 2D and 3DAnimation, Script Writing, Direction, Web design, Video Editing. The programme has been designed with a combination of general and skill components. To acquire skills to match industry standard either internship or field work is supplemented each semester.
The department strives to create innovative visual media professionals to provide an objective world view by presenting the realities of the societies locally and globally through constructive aesthetic skills and focus on the transformation of society.
