Description | Evergreen tree up to 10m height, Bark green to light gey, persistent leaf base mark on trunk, trunk slightly swollen at the base. Leaves form crown shaft of the single tall tree, compound leaves, thick green appears like fox tail. Inflorescence spadix. Flower white trimerous, unisexual, actinomorphic, hypogynous. Male flowers white tepels 3, stamens numerous, gynoecium absent. Female flower white, carpel globose, stamens absent, tricarpellary, syncarpous. Fruit drupe, oval shaped, orange red at maturity, single seeded. |
