Description | Evergreen shrub grows up to 2m height. Stem woody, dichotomously branched and milky sap present. Leave simple, opposite decussate, glossy, elliptic, lanceolate and dark green. Flower pentamerous, white, complete, bisexual, hypogynous and actinomorphic, sepals 5 green, petals 5 tubular, spreading at apex, 5 lobed. Stamens 5, epipetalous, inserted at neck of the corolla tube. Gynoecium bicarpellary, apocarpous, style long. Fruit inconspicuous a follicle |
