Goal

Graduating from Bishop Heber college with a Bachelor's degree in zoology will qualify you to secure in many jobs related to the field of zoology and biology. In many countries, a Bachelor's degree will qualify you to become a pathologist, marine biologist, Taxonomist, Food Scientist, Pharmacologist, Nutritionist, Anatomist, Geneticist or Pathologist.

Just an Introduction..

Zoology is the study of animal life, which is one of the main branches of biology. The study reveals how life evolved on Earth, how and where animals live, and how they interact with one another and their environment. It deals with the interplay between the life elements from the desert and the rain forest and the ocean

The Department has been functioning since 1972 with a set of well- qualified, experienced and energetic members with a thirst for research in various fields like Toxicology, Limnology, Environmental Biology, Pheromone Biology and Reproductive Biology.A short term course on ornamental fish culture is offered. A number of science exhibitions are conducted along with the COSIP programme with grants from the UGC.
